Tangerine Tango

Tangerine Tango is Pantone's 2012 color of the year. This hot, vibrant, red orange color is full of energy. Look to see this color in many weddings this year. If you are a bold modern bride, this is a great color for your bridesmaids, if you are more on the traditional and conservative side, it works great as accents; ie bouquets, chair sashes or napkins, menu cards etc..

If this color is just too hot for you, check out all the 2012 spring colors. If you choose to pair up the Tangerine Tango or go a different direction completely you can't go wrong with these colors. My favorite is the cockatoo.

The Little Green Monster

Weddings are very emotional events, and one emotion that always seems to rear its ugly head is jealousy. And it typically comes from someone that you would never expect, usually a sister, cousin or best friend.  Maybe it’s a comment here or there, a sudden negative attitude whenever you talk about your wedding or maybe they just start to distance themselves from you and the wedding altogether.  So the question is what to do about it? My advice is to ignore it.  Because after all who doesn’t want to be you?  Who doesn’t want to be in love and marrying the man of their dreams?
Maybe the jealous person is your sister and you’re the first sister to get married or have a wedding. Try to empathize. Let her know that you understand and that you’re happy to have her involved in such an important day. I know, right now, you’re thinking, why? It’s my wedding and it should be about me. And you’re right, but she is your sister and will always be, even after the wedding. Having a sister is a blessing and a relationship you should always cherish.
Maybe the person is a member of your bridal party and their negative attitude is putting a damper on planning your big day. Re-evaluate the relationship. Is it worth saving? If so, have a heart to heart, find out what the problem is. If there is no change, politely inform them that because of their attitude you no longer want them to be a part of your wedding, and replace them with someone who is truly happy for you.
Jealousy is a very human emotion, and sometimes it can get out of hand. If and when it does, handle the situation and get back to planning the biggest day of your life.
